Our exchange visit to Vauban School in Brest

We have got an amazing partnership with our French Partner School, Vauban in Brest where we are lucky to be able to have exchange visits. This year, it was our turn to go to France.  As you can see, our children found out so much about France, it's culture, human and physical features as well as having lots of fun.

Day 1

What a full day we’ve had; botanical gardens, crepes for afternoon snack, swimming, football and sandcastles on the beach. Settling to a lovely meal at Al Aise Breizh. Early night tonight we think - we wake up tomorrow to a wonderful view of the marina from our rooms.  ‘Moules mariniere anyone? ‘ ‘Yes please!’ Embracing the French culture.

Day 2

Day 2 of our adventures in Brest. We visited the naval museum, had lunch in the park, took a tram to Vauban Primary School, where the children practised their French. Then we crossed the river by cable car to the city centre, finishing off at our favourite beach.

Day 3

For our final day we visited Oceanopolis and had an amazing time exploring sea life from different climates. They made new friends with a group of French children during lunch, both groups trying out each other’s language.
